Leandro Barreiro a marqué samedi son premier but avec Mayence, contre Leipzig (3-2), en Bundesliga (première division en Allemagne). Le milieu de terrain international luxembourgeois de 21 ans s'en souviendra sûrement, d'autant plus qu'il a offert une victoire très importante à son club, qui est avant-dernier du classement (17e).
Il s'agit aussi de la première réalisation en professionnel pour le natif d'Erpeldange. Pour rappel, il avait rejoint Mayence en 2016 et débuté en pro en 2019. À noter que Leandro Barreiro est le premier joueur luxembourgeois à marquer en Bundesliga, depuis Jeff Strasser en 2005.
